The platform Scandinavian Art Design has opened up a local pop-up store in Gothenburg highlighting a wide range of their collection. The initiative comes from a lack of space for creatives, more accurately described as a community intended for artists and creatives.
The founder Ludwig Skalare has a background in art and design and has among others worked as production assistant at Acne Studios. He has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration Management specialization in fashion and textiles. The initiative comes from a lack of space for creatives, more accurately described as a community intended for artists and creatives. In 2018 the idea of Scandinavian Art & Design was born, a project that the friend Emil Wigren joined and became CO-founder of. Emil is self-taught entrepreneur and has a background within e-commerce and logistics.
Scandinavian Art & Design started as a small web shop and has now developed to a big community of creators and artists gathered under one platform. Nordic artists and creators are able to create, showcase and get their craftsmanship promoted. The plattform is currently offering a variety of art and design pieces from approximately 30 artists, the vast majority are females located in the south part of Sweden.
Due to all the success, Scandinavian Art & Design has now opened up new pop-up store located at Victoriagården, Södra Larmgatan 16 in the centre of Gothenburg.
Finally, big thank you to Wallenstam for this opportunity.
