Role Description:

As a Part-Time Sales Associate at Scandinavian Art & Design, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for our customers. Your primary focus will be on assisting customers, showcasing our diverse range of art and jewelry, and contributing to the overall success of our store.

Responsibilities:

  • Store Representation:

    • As a representative of the store, it is imperative to consistently present oneself in a positive manner, dressed well, and adorned with our jewelry to embody the store's unique style.

  • Customer Experience:

    • As a Sales Associate, your primary responsibility is to ensure every customer receives an exceptional and welcoming experience.

    • Take the initiative to engage with customers, provide assistance, and offer insights into the diverse range of products.

  • Store Cleanliness:

    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store to create an inviting and pleasant shopping environment.

    • Regularly perform cleaning tasks to uphold the aesthetic standards of Scandinavian Art & Design.

  • Customer Orientation:

    • Extend a warm welcome to every customer, and for newcomers, take the time to explain the distinctive and special aspects of our store.

  • Additional Responsibilities for Social Media and Digital Marketing (Optional):

    • While not mandatory for the Sales Associate role, there are additional responsibilities available for those interested in social media and digital marketing.

Note: The optional responsibilities related to social media and digital marketing are separate and not a criterion for the Sales Associate role.

Qualifications:

  • Sales Experience: A foundational understanding of sales principles is required, and any previous sales experience is highly valued.

  • Customer Service Skills: Friendly, approachable, and excellent communication skills.

  • Digital and Social Media (SoMe) Experience: Familiarity with and experience in digital and social media platforms is considered a significant merit.

  • Adobe Programs Proficiency: Proficiency in Adobe programs is meriting

  • Academic Education: While not mandatory, academic education in a relevant field is considered a merit.

  • Practical Jewelry Making Experience: Previous hands-on experience in practical jewelry making is seen as a valuable asset.

  • Fashionable Appearance: A good sense of style is highly regarded as a merit, contributing to the artistic and fashionable environment of the store. Willingness to wear and showcase the jewelry we sell, embodying the unique styles offered in our collection.

  • Creative Interest: A creative interest in any form is a requirement, showcasing an intrinsic passion for the arts and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of our creative community.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store.

  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a small team and contribute positively to the store atmosphere.
